As experienced educators we know all of that and have,
therefore, designed Columbia Kids Club®, an after-school
enrichment program. Just imagine having your child cared
for by a degreed teacher rather than a baby-sitter without
proper qualification. The difference will be striking.
While the child under the supervision of an ordinary
baby-sitter is just being watched, our children at Columbia
Kids’ Club® enjoy professionally led classes
in reading, art, music, crafts, computer science, and
dance. Best of all, they won’t even realize that
it is a class. They’ll believe it’s just
a wonderful spare-time activity.
A typical after-school schedule for Monday through
Friday will run from shortly after dismissal to 6:00
p.m. on days school is in session. The afternoon will
start by the student signing in and having a snack.
The next 60 minutes will be an arts and crafts activity,
a dance lesson, or we will read and talk about good
children books. This is followed by homework assistance
and some drill and practice games with the content area
changing each day. The next 30 minutes will be available
for free play. The final 10 minutes is cleanup. Parents
who work past 6:00 pm can sign up for the extended schedule
up to 7:00 or even 8:00 pm.
Our kids will have a Halloween, a Christmas, and an
Independence Day Party. They will prepare a program
and show what they have learned in our activities. For
these events, we will invite the parents, so they can
proudly watch their kids perform. We will also have
Easter Bunny come, and observe other events which are
important in the life of a child
Our Columbia Kids’ Club® News (newsletter)
offers the children a chance to display their projects,
so everybody can see them.
And finally, at the end of the school year, there’s
summer camp for all those who want to keep coming.
Your children will find the warm nurturing professional
environment you would like them to have, and we will
create memories in them that will last a life time.
And at the same time, we want them to be able to stand
out of the crowd because they are “Columbia Kid’s
Club® children.”
